ABOUT ARESTY RESEARCH
The Aresty Research Center's mission is to support undergraduate research at Rutgers. Our Center assists students in learning about the process of research, identifying faculty mentors or projects, defining goals, seeking funding for a project, and presenting their findings to the university and the general public. We also serve as a resource for faculty who are actively mentoring undergraduates or who are interested in working with undergraduates and need assistance finding and funding students. We invite you to visit us to learn more about how you can participate in research-as a researcher, as a mentor, as a supporter.
Our Goals
-
To foster student curiosity about and participation in the process of research;
-
To facilitate mentoring relationships between faculty and students;
-
To expose a wider audience beyond the university to undergraduate research products;
-
To serve as a clearinghouse of undergraduate research opportunities at Rutgers-New Brunswick;
-
To support the incorporation of research experiences in the classroom.

Our History
The Aresty Research Center was founded in 2004 with a generous donation by Mr. and Mrs. Jerome and Lorraine Aresty. Since our inception, we have worked with over 2,000 students and 500 faculty, and have provided approximately $2.2 million in support of undergraduate research. We are continuing to extend our reach into the university community by helping faculty find great undergraduate researchers and supporting student-led research projects.
